So I’ve been trying and trying to get this done. But I can never make up my mind whether I want a sidebar or just a bottom bar thinger or maybe both. Maybe only the bottom nav on some pages, but a sidebar on other pages? Or both on some and none on others? I DON’T KNOW. It’s driving me nuts. So…. I’m just going to do my best. I really should just get all the styling done so it is all functioning correctly before tackling something that the site could do without, but I’m making this my main hangout for a while, I really want it to look good. Oh, feck it all.

I still have overtime this week, and I’ve only worked 2 hours of the required 5, and I think we were going to have 5 hours of volunteer overtime on Saturday. I don’t really want to work, but I need the money. It’s sad, what money does to us. But what can you do?

I’ve spent all day at work and all evening trying to figure this theme out, and now I’m too tired to fix my iPod with updated playlists and charge it. I’m horrible At least my lunch is fixed and everything is ready for tomorrow I didn’t even get to play WoW D:

And on second thought…. I think I’ll just have the bottom bar thinger on all the pages, after all. I’ll nest a div in the pages I want certain stuff to show up on still using the sidebar widgets. Shouldn’t be too hard? I don’t know. I just really don’t know.

So I have overtime all this week (and Saturday, as well) so I apologize if this doesn’t get all nice and prettyfied very soon I’ll do my best to work it out tomorrow… I want to be done, ya know?

In other news, I got the fanlisting approval for We Are Scientists, and it makes me happy in the pants That is something that will be done this weekend, if nothing else is.

He stretched and tried to fight back a yawn.  It was a loosing battle, but that was okay.  He pulled and tugged at the sheets.  Seeing that the rest of the bed was vacant, he thought, “Guess it’s time to get up.”  Pulling himself to a standing position, he pondered the light illuminating the dust floating in the air that was coming in through the windows.  “I guess there is a time for everything to rise for the day.”

He padded out into the hallway, down sturdy stairs and into the kitchen, looking for some quick breakfast before settling down with the day’s agenda.  Just what that agenda entailed, he wasn’t sure of just yet.  But he could be sure that it involved a lot of this and a lot of that.  He smirked.  “Boy, aren’t I the clever one?”

After eating, he curled up on the couch to contemplate his life.  He didn’t have it to bad.  Nice house, wonderful friends, good food.  More than he felt he deserved, and it humbled him.

He started at the sound of the door opening.  It was just Agnis back from Sunday church.  She was as quaint as any village spinster.  Her age would keep many a woman down, but she had a sharpness in her eyes and a bounce to her step that made even the younger ladies jealous.

She bounced her way over to the couch and set her purse and Sunday hat on the coffee table, then she bent down to pat him on the head.  It was a ritual and one he didn’t mind.  Her attention was welcome and appreciated.  He purred and she cooed, “Who’s been a good little kitty while I’ve been gone?  You’ve been a good little kitty!  Yes you have!”  She continued on in this fashion for a few more minutes, then sat down next to him with the Sunday paper, clipping coupons.

The two sat in companionable silence born of affection and habit.  Yeah, he didn’t have it too bad at all.

Well, anyone that knows me good enough will tell you this is yet another sad attempt at a personal site.  I have no idea how this will go, and am playing it by ear.  I know what I want to do:

• New theme, so spiffy and nice! (I really miss designing, and dealing with something on the scale I have in mind will forgo the toe-dipping for an all-in attitude.)
• Plugins galore! (Mostly things to crosspost, rss things, maybe the library / bookshelf plugin for all those books I’ve read / plan on reading, and the gallery plugin for all those images that I plan on uploading and sharing with the world.)
• Story writing! (I really need this, as I have so many ideas bouncing around my head!  I often narrate my life in my head as a novelist would narrate the unseeming lives of their creations.)
• And many more things, you can count on it (maybe?).

Just give me a bit, all these things will come to pass, as long as I can keep my determination flowing.  I’ve got so many ideas and my fingers have been itching to get back to the internet and recreate my pressence.  I’ve neglected so much — I deserve to have to start from the bottom!  But should anyone have any super ideas and want to guide me into my renewed web-life, then feel free to share!
